Christians, what is a soul?

The soul is the spiritual part of a human. The soul is the essential nature of human consciousness and freedom. Soul and body together form one unique human being.

Each human soul is individual and immortal, immediately created by God at the moment of conception.

The soul does not die with the body, from which it is separated by death, and with which it will be reunited in the final resurrection.

A soul is a living breathing human being when a person dies his spirit returns to God and that person ceases to be a soul.

The soul is what the Devil wants to buy. The Devil will teach you to play the banjo, guitar, or fiddle for your soul. The Devil has plenty of other stuff to trade for your soul. Real good stuff.

It is the core of who you are. Your will, intellect and emotions.

I am a spirit who has a soul that lives in a temporary dwelling - the body.

You are a soul that has a body. The body also has a mind all it's own. The spirit part of you is dormant, like an egg without fertilization.

God penetrates your heart with His seed, if you believe in your heart and confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord.

The soul becomes the intercessor between the spirit man amd the fleshly desires of the body. Eventually the soul submits to the will of the spirit which is aligned with the will of God.

In the second chapter of Genesis, we are given details about how God created man, It says that he created a body from the elements of the earth, and spirit that was breathed from his won breathe, and their their union formed a living soul Man was made to have one nature that touches the physical realm, one nature that touches the spiritual realm and one nature that resides between them.

The soul is the mind. It is where the will, emotions, and intelligence of a person resides. It receives information from the body and the spirit, and then makes the decisions about what we will do, how we will act, what we will say and believe, etc.

It resides within the physical brain. But it is more than just chemical and electrical impulses. It is connected to the spirit and continues to exist as conscious form if the body dies.

It is the "real" you. The life that comes from the union of body and spirit.

A soul is a person or an animal - Ecclesiastes 3:19 - for there is an outcome for humans and an outcome for animals; they all have the same outcome. As the one dies, so the other dies; and they all have but one spirit.
