Photovoltaics (solar cells): voltage generated by a solar cell?
For a project I have to amplify (using a 741 op-amp(s)) the voltage produced by a solar cell from a 1mW laser to light up an LED. I know that there should be a current of around 300 micro-Amps, but i can't figure out what the voltage should be.
Please could someone let me know how to find the approximate voltage and preferably your sources. Thanks

Do you really need to know the voltage produced by the solar cell? If you set up an inverting amplifier circuit, the amplifier output voltage will just be (input current * feedback resistance)

You just need to look at the LED specs. Most have some built in resistance and the operating voltages are different.
The other way is just to put a small voltage across one and increase it until it's drawing 300ma.
