Recommendations on car trunk mounted bike rack.?

Been looking around and it seems like there really isn't a standout bike rack. They all seem to have issues. Any recommendations? rack that can handle 3 or 4 bikes and is not hitch mounted.

Update:

2 adult bikes. One of them is a diamondback Insight, and 2 kids bikes. Using a hitch is a nogo as my honda accord doesn't have a hitch.

    Here's the problem. Although there are 3 and 4 bike trunk racks available you have to consider the strength of the hinges and lock on the trunk. If you load more than 100 pounds on a rack you may tear off your trunk!

    If you insist, the best trunk mount rack BY FAR is a Saris Bones.

    What sort of bikes and how much do they weigh? This is an important consideration. Remember that a trunk mount rack will be held on only by the straps out over the end of the car, the more the bikes weigh the more strain on the straps and the higher the likelihood that the rack could damage your car or fall off. 4 heavy bikes could weigh over 120 pounds.

    Get a hitch mounted one they are much safer.

    You also need lights and a visible plate.

    Be sure you do not load more than the trailer nose weight permitted for your car either way.

    The other option is a roof mounted bike carrier.

    The Saris family of racks are great. I am a particular fan of the Saris Bomes 2.... A great rack for two bikes.

    I recommend none of them. They WILL eventually scratch up your paint. Even the best ones will do that. I would only recommend hitch mount or roof mount. roof is actually the most secure of all of them, but you have to remember height clearance.
