The one and only reason to join the French Foreign Legion is to get French citizenship. They also willingly hide criminals from their home countries once citizenship is granted.
The United States already grants citizenship to green card holders who serve in the military, therefore we have no reason to create a Foreign Legion.
Honestly, it would be rather stupid for the U.S. to make a Foreign Legion when there are tens of thousands of U.S. citizens who are rejected from the military every year as it is.
Why would we give random foreigners preference over our own citizens? It makes no sense.

What would be the point?
Oh, I get it. That way you could have all the non-white soldiers serve in the "foreign legion" while the regular service is reserved for white, christian, heterosexual, conservative males.
Clever.

Government armies are wasteful and illegitimate. They should be replaced by private armies contracted by insurance companies.
