Silly question, but once you beat a gym and have to put your own Pokemon in, will you receive that Pokemon back after the gym is beat by another team?

Yes you will receive your pokemon back. Also, in case you didn't know, when you put your pokemon in the gym you get a 10 pokecoin and 500 stardust reward that you can claim in the shop page in the shield icon. You can only collect once every 20 something hours, so it will be more beneficial to have your pokemon in like 5 gyms to get 5x the reward. Otherwise, you can just get the single reward if you're not confident enough your pokemon will remain in a gym by the time you claim another one.

yes. when u leave your pokemon in a gym, u get an automatic reward for doing so and another every day or so. when your pokemon are defeated in the gym, they return to your hand, inable of fighting again until healed
