Thumbs down trolls?

It's a 'thing', for sure. You could look through my profile (it's open) and see that it's definitely a THING. I feel rather sorry for those whose biggest thrill of the day is thumbing down my (and others') perfectly good answers.

I even have someone who tracks my comments on Yahoo News articles and thumbs them down -- How pathetic is THAT!

Thumbs downs means absolutely nothing. You don't lose points. And just for the hell of it, I'm going to thumbs down my own answer right here 😎

I'd rather get TD than reported. Getting thumbed down is just the tip of the ice berg and is really a warning from other users who can't stand the sight of you. So they TD you no matter how good or bad your answers are. When that doesn't work.. and you're not the slightest bothered, that's when they take it to the next level.

And that level my friend is called the raging reporting level. They'll stalk you solely just to report you. Questions and answers and all, anything to give you the message.

That's what I called a complete and utter loser with nothing else better to do. Feel bad for them. I do..

I was just noticing on a couple questions everyone was getting thumbs down for no reason I could discern

It's just a thumbs down, I don't take it personally.

I only thumbs down when I don't agree with the answer, or find it disrespectful.

You are so right,there are too many users who apparently haven't got over their schooldays & tit for tat behaviour.I know one who has multiple account & recruits others to TD those she doesn't like.
