What Does Pet Home And Show Home Means?

Pet home is just that, a home that will only use the dogs as pets. A show home is one dedicated to showing the dogs in conformation trials and earning points and CH titles on the dogs. No good breeder lets show potential dogs go to pet homes.

Show home = Owner dedicated to getting involved in the show ring with the pup destined for the show ring

Pet home = Owner who has a pup that is NOT destined for the show ring

These breeders don't give their pups to just anyone (and certainly not any of their show potentials if they're not planning on keeping it or have it on hold for the stud dogs owner). If you are interested in showing then ask your breeder about it (maybe they'll even mentor you)

That's utter nonsence.There's no such thing as pet home/show home dogs.So called show dogs are generally used for breeding and can cost quite a bit if your looking to get into breeding or showing.It simply isn't worth paying thousands of dollars if your not going to breed them or show them.Most people are just looking for a pet.Alot of breeders will only keep their show/breeding dogs for a few years then put them up for sale or adoption with contract rights and partial ownership.

A show home is a family dedicated to training, caring for, and showing show dogs. You would have to do a lot of research and preparation to be able to convince a breeder that you will be properly showing the dog like you say.
