I asked in my previous question (If possible pls answer in this question also) Link -

https://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20160...

People said that I should not feed my dog more than one food and also some said that I also should't feed my dog biscuit so I wanted to know that feeding treats or cookie treats (biscuit treats) will upset my dog's stomach? As it has also different flavor

No, unless you are giving your dog a large amounts of treats, your dog should be fine with treats.

There are lots of bacteria in the digestive tract of your dog, just like there are lots of bacteria in the digestive tract of humans. Those are a lot of different species of bacteria and which species of bacteria do best depends on the food you give to your dog. If you now give your dog suddenly food which has a lot more protein, or a lot more fat or whatever, the bacteria which used to do best won't be the bacteria which do best any more and there will be some types of bacteria who die off, others who grow like crazy. All this can cause diarrhea as the ecosystem in the digestive tract of your dog is disturbed. After a few days of new food there will be new stable equilibrium and everything will be fine.

I think it's therefore a good idea to give a dog a good variety of treats, so the dog's digestive tract isn't going to get upset by any variety.

Don't listen to others or read websites - what suits your dog may not suit other dogs, for starters. For the main food, find one that suits (not a cereal-based food I suggest) and stick to it. As for treats, apart from putting on weight perhaps, I see no problem treating a dog. We use Bonio (the equivalent of Milk bone biscuits, but bigger?) or the generic equivalent (Morrisons own brand UK), and Fish4Dogs treats.

If at any point your dog is getting fat, or has a digestive upset from what you are feeding, then cut it back/or out. Regardless of what 'people' tell you. Really if your dog is a breed, from a good breeder, they are the only people to look to for advice. Nobody knows their breed and bloodlines better.

Switching food around trying to find the bargain of the month, using coupons on unknown this snd thst... As long as it dives a few dollars is what most dogs suffer from. Garbage gut.

They get fed either a high cheep cereal based food or some dog foods are literally flavored chaff with ground bone, some types of oils and nice pretty colors and cute shapes.. Leave a table spoon out on paper plate overnight you get 8 inches of grease.

I'm not saying all dog food with grains are bad, you just have to learn to read labels. Some people don't have common sense when it comes to giving treats either. Just about everybody knows chocolates bad for dogs yet several manufacturers make Choclate shaped or flavored treats for dogs. (Duh). If a little good a lot better right?

Most dogs cannot take major changes in their diet, even if it's done a lot. I have watched people give their dogs treats when they are training their dogs and am totally amazed as to why the dogs don't die from how much thei owners manage to stuff into them. Little wonder why people think giving treats when training will make the dogs fat. I watched one man give his dog 3 large bags of bacon treats while trying to teach the dog to sit. After the dog got sick on bag #2 he just moved to a different spot snd continued studding his dog like he eas a turkey getting ready for thanksgiving.

Dogs seldom need a whole large dog treat more than once a day, our exception are their hard biscuits, the big boys get 2 or 3 or they get a dental chew, everything else for training or just because is a small taste about pea sized and the dogs love it just as much.

Just like dog food treats have a blast of garbage hidden by nice shales, colors and scents. Some are meat flavored soy, some are byproducts that can not be used in dog food. (That makes you wonder) and again some are grain free, some are meat free, and then there kangaroo, rabbit, venison, bison, beef, chicken, partridge, game hen, alligator, dal on and whitefish, turkey, tuns, pork, lamb, goat and just about any other protein source you can think of including peanut butter.

You shouldn't buy a huge variety from all different ms if's tired because it gets confusing to how much protein your feeding your dog, how much fat etc, it can upset your dogs tummy I'd the dog gets too many besides the worry of weight gain.

When were training s dog we switch out some of their dog kibble and feed a little less if we have been using treats during the day for tensioning. Even the treats have a calorie count so it's easier to keep track of your dogs diet so you don't realize one day Fido is 20 pounds overweight.

The plain biscuits like the milk one usually help settle s dogs tummy, they also have specialty biscuits made with charcoal and mint that help with gas and upset tummys, they are regular treated but have the nice side effect of calming thr tummy.

So choose wisely and don't overfed your dog. Dogs are not like people and get bored eating the same old same old. They like their kibble and love their biscuits and sny treats they can con their owners with. But just like having children you don't want to let them have too many too often they are treated not a part of their basic diet.

Keep in mind a dog does not care what shape of food it eats, what color it is or if it's trendy or not. They like the taste of their food and the security thst it will be there when they get hungry.

Not everything on the Internet is true. Not all dogs like the same thing just as not all people like the same foods, Good luck
