Can I Give My Puppy Different Meals A Day?

I wanted to know that can I give my puppy different meals a day such as-

Breakfast - Dog food

Lunch - Homemade Food (Eg meat, rice, eggs, fruits, vegetable, etc)

Snacks - Dog Biscuit (These will be different from treats)

Dinner - Wet Food With Rice, Eggs etc

I will give him 2 types of treats

1 when he does something good like staying in crate, let me groom him.

And another one when I give him a command such as sit, stay, lie down etc.

I have seen people saying that sudden change to food will make his stomach upset

But some people say that they give their dogs both dog food and homemade food so it does't become dependent on any of them and it also gives them proper nutrition. Is it true

So can I give him different food each day?

I have a Yorkie and Shih Tzu puppy. Is it too heavy diet for them?

Update:

I'am actually asking that can I give them different food on same day (As above)

I'am not asking that can I give them same dog food multiple times each day

Bad idea. All you will do I train your pup that he will get yummy human food later in the day, especially if he refuses to eat his kibble. Dog food is nutritionally balanced, and as long as you are feeding a quality brand (not stuff from the grocery store) you are doing the best you can for him. If you want to feed homemade, then consider a proper raw diet. But you generally shouldn't mix and match - again, you teach the pup that refusing his meal is a good thing. Dogs do not need snacks, it leads to an overweight dog. Training treats need to be very tiny, and considered as part of his total daily calorie intake. If you are concerned with the quality of the food you are feeding, then you either need to feed a better brand of food, or switch to a raw diet.

That's way too much food unless you are giving small portions. Dogs aren't like people. Their digestive systems are easily upset by switching foods all the time. that being said, kibble is a fairly new invention. Before the 1960s people fed their dogs table scraps or whatever they had on hand just be aware that certain foods are toxic to dogs.

Many dogs would shun the dog food, knowing that something better was coming later. The thing about dog/puppy food is, it's balanced and everything a dog or puppy needs. It takes a lot of research to home cook food and meet all of their nutritional needs.

    Yes...

[quote] Most experts recommend feeding your dog twice a day — once in the morning and once in the evening — though puppies under five months of age should be fed three to four times a day, or as directed by your veterinarian.

Nope. Homemade food and the others won't digest at the same level.

Want to make dog food? It's a good idea. Do research but also stop feeding crap treats and kibvle , or just stick to kibble.

I say no because be will start to only eat table food and will never eat kibble again my dog started getting used to chicken and broth and I had to stop it

Not if you wish to keep your dog healthy. Feed it properly, dogs don't require variety; http://i40.photobucket.com/albums/e224/GLLNTKNIGHT...
