Sending cheap packet to Europe?
Hello,
my time as a student abroad in Canada (Alberta) is almost over.
Before I return to Germany, I want to send some of my stuff (mostly clothes) home by a packet, since I will not be able to fit everything in my suitcase.
I estimate this packet to weight not more than 10 kg.
Is there a cheap way to send a packet to Europe (Germany)? The offers I fond are all above 120 CAD.
I don't mind how long the shipment lasts.
Checking in a 2nd suitcase is unfortunately no solution, since I will have a couple on inland-flights before I return back home.

Paying excess luggage is likely to be cheaper than sending by any means whether postal or courier. And if you're lucky, you may not even have to pay, I'd say 4 times out of 5 I've managed to blag my way through without paying, and if you do have to pay you will almost certainly be able to bargain so you won't have to pay the full excess fee.

The postal service is as cheap as it gets. No, it isn't cheap, but it's cheaper than every other way.

Ask the Canadian postal people for their rates. In most countries, they have the cheapest rates.
