The first thing God created was the earth.  The earth's full rotation is a day---then and now.  All time is, is a measurement from a given point in history using the rotation of the earth, the revolution of the earth around the sun.  Nothing more.  When God stopped creating, He will not start again and He waits for the end of the world.
