1. There was a TV camera in a box bolted to the leg of the lander. A cable led from the box to a spot near the door of the lander. Using the same advanced principle found on the front brakes of a common bicycle, Armstrong pulled a handle and by a miracle of technology that opened the box and turned the camera on.
Now consider these -
2. Every piece of claimed evidence that the landings were faked are either obvious or non-obvious lies. Perhaps the most obvious lie is the claim that the astronauts had never landed because there were few or no stars in the background sky in photographs.
At the age of 17, three years before, I knew enough of photography to tell you why few or no stars would be seen. Stars don't produce enough light to affect a photographic film when the exposure is short and the diaphragm is stopped down to avoid overexposure of brilliantly sunlit nearby subjects. This kind of stuff is basic photography known since the 1800's.
3. Another is that the mostly American believers in this conspiracy theory assume than no other country in the world could track the radio signals emitted by the spacecraft on its way to the Moon. First there is no such thing as a secret radio frequency. They also assume that no other country could detect whether radio signals were coming from the Moon after the astronauts had landed. Allow me to remind you that radar is based on tracking weak radio reflections from distant objects and was invented independently by both Germany and Britain in the 1930's. Even more, radio engineers have been able to detect the direction of a radio source for a century. Radio technology had progressed somewhat since radar was invented.
Thus radio experts with suitable and readily available equipment could find such a radio source.
4. The USA was effectively at war with Communist North Vietnam in 1969. Did the North Vietnamese, the USSR or the Chinese make any claim that the landings had been faked? The USSR could have detected a fake with one eye closed and so could most other developed countries.

NASA had thought of that and a camera was already attached to a landing leg for this purpose

This question has been thoroughly answered so many times that to ask it again smacks of trolling. If you *really* wanted to know the answer, you could easily Google it. The fact that you're adding to a rapidly-growing number of people who think they are either brilliant or hilarious for asking this EXACT. SAME. QUESTION just shows that you don't really care what the answer is. Now go away.

When Stanley Kubrick was filming Armstrong in the Area 51 studio where Apollo 11 was faked, they just never thought people would question it.
(Yes, this is sarcasm.)

They mounted a camera on the lander leg and dropped it down with a latch so it was aimed at the ladder. And it was live TV, recorded badly on film on earth. Good grief, why are people still asking?

From the camera mounted on the outside of the lander and activated by Armstrong himself by pulling a lanyard (string) attached to it from the "porch" before he started down the ladder.

There was a boom that extended from the lander which held a camera. I know, sounds impossible for 1969, NASA having little more than stone axes to work with...

There was a camera on the leg of the landing gear .
It is also proof why conspiracy people get things wrong they don't bother to research
