Hi guys. can you recommend a multivitamin to me?

Update:

I

Update 2:

I'm a vegan. I'm running low on my multivitamin and I'm thinking of switching brands. Separate from my multi I take Omega 3, calcium, and D. I will consider taking non-vegan vitamins if they are much better than my current brand (DEVA).

Update 3:

I'm really interested in suggestions from Wendigo who seems to know a lot about vitamins. I eat a pretty good vegan diet but then there are some days when I don't. And I'm borderline anemic. So sometimes I take an iron supplement - but maybe a multi with iron is a better idea. I see a multi as a good insurance policy.

"Hi guys. can you recommend a multivitamin to me?"

All in all, I'd recommend remaining with what you're using now, as a multi-vitamin. The different reads I've had have been good for the Deva brand.

But if you want to consider a non vegan brand, two I'd consider are either Nature Made, or Solgar. Going outside again, Douglas Labs, Nature's Bounty, Kirkland, Puritan's Pride, Rugby, Swanson, and Tru Nature, are other ones I'd be comfortable with recommending. Nature's Way may also be a good brand as well, as I them to cover the choline shortfall, that both my daughter and I have, as she also eats a limited amount of meat. Now the store brands, I'm generally wary of, mainly the quality control for them isn't always the best.

If you're willing to bend some, them try for one, with the animal based retinol. Such as Nature Made I believe uses for example. The synthetic has a faster rate of becoming toxic. I got in trouble with that about thirty five years ago. But then I didn't know what I know today either.

As for vitamin D, you I believe know the six I've linked to in the past. But you could also check those vitamin D3 makers, and see which ones list with Consumer Labs. When I was looking for vegan suitable vitamin D3 I didn't take look any deeper into those makers. I'll admit that I was being obsessive there, but then when I go to help someone, I can get that way real fast. But if you want, I can link to them, easily enough.

As for the iron, that may carry a hit more of a premium for a multi with iron. There I recommend talking with your doctor first, and see if they agree. Even most multi-vitamins with mineral leaves out the iron.
