tpms getting old;?

If I have the tire pressure monitors replaced with plain tire stems and no censors, can anything go wrong with the car- 2010 Corolla. Damned sensors are $45-$90 each and they inevitably fail when the non-replaceable batteries die.

No, only a warning to let the driver know if the tires are low. If you check your tires regularly, you really dont need tire sensors. You can thank FORD & Firestone for that fiasco for making us have tire pressure sensors now

The only bad thing is you wont get rid of the TPMS warning Icon on your dash to go off

No nothing can go wrong. Just get in to the habit of checking your tire pressure every month. I usually go over 2-3 psi manufacturers recommended pressure, but each their own. I just don't like going under the manufacturers recommended pressure.

Nothing is going to go wrong with the car. Just put a piece of black electrical tape over the damn light and check your tire pressures every month.

Take them out and have your spare rim drilled for 3 more stems, put them all in there and keep them active. By staying dry and stationary they'll last forever.

Added bonus, you'll know if your spare goes flat, which to me is more important anyway because I always glance at my rollers.
