i think my human rights have been breached?

ok so i get money from centrelink because i don't work it has been about 6 months and now i have to do work for the dole. it's like working for free and getting 500 every two weeks.

don't get me wrong i love working i would love it if work for the dole will help me finding the job i want. the problem is work for the dole is just picking up rubbish from the street or picking up weeds. it's just like an insult and i want to work in real estate agent how picking up weeds and packing stuff will help improve my skills in real estate and built confidence in me?. i used to work but i got fired for no reason.

i told centrelink instead of work for the dole let me work for a real estate agent for 25 hours just like work for the dole at least i learn something. but they refused and want to make me their slave. modern slavery.

i know guys you going to tell me your opinion on work for the dole i don't disagree but i disagree on what the work for the dole is. it's just no help and i am not a lazy man i want to work so badly even anything i want money not been centrelink slave. so i think my human rights has been breached and i want to lunch a compliant on this website of Australian human rights

Work for the dole schemes are nothing but theft.

They take jobs that people could actually be employed to do.

They provide no training or skills that translate to better employment prospects.

Jobseekers are diverted from where they should be focussing, training and skills, and actually seeking employment.

Hugely expensive programmes to maintain, where the cost well outweighs the benefit to both the taxpayer and jobseeker.

It's a con and a rort for private enterprise that does nothing for the nation.

Selling real estate is right up the top of sales jobs, you cant expect anybody will hire you just because you "wannabee" a salesperson.

You have to start at the bottom selling stuff like DVD players, furniture, cars, etc and prove you have the ability to talk to people and make them want to spend money in a profession where 99.9 percent of buyers are "just looking", and since you would be working for commission only you may have to go at times for weeks or months without getting paid a cent, 25 hours a week still leaves you plenty of time to look for a sales job, stop complaining and get out there, even if you manage to get only part-time 2 days a week for little money that will be enough to satisfy Centrelink and you will not be required to do work for the dole and you will still get paid the dole although you might receive less than the full amount.

Work for the dole is there to keep people on the dole from becoming lazy by forcing them to still get up and go to work. It is very easy to become a lazy slob if we do not have the need or incentive to have to put some effort into life. Work for the dole also gives a person an incentive to go look for a proper job that pays full wages. It is unfortunate for those genuinely seeking employment it is a pain wasting good job searching time doing work for the dole, but unfortunately a certain percentage of dole recipients are not wanting to work and want to slide through life on government money which comes from the taxes of those who do work.

Don't blame the government or Centrelink for work for the dole, blame the lazy who will drift through life allowing Centrelink to pay for their living costs with no intention of ever supporting themselves by getting a job.

Does the government require you to work for them? Yes. Does the government give you money every fortnight? Yes. Does the money you receive for your hours of work exceed minimum wage? Almost certainly yes (do the sums to find out by how much).

This said, you don t have to do Work for the Dole. There are a variety of mutual obligation options available to you, from volunteer work to TAFE study. TAFE courses can even include work placement. Talk to your local TAFE about what options they ve got to help you become a real estate agent.

Work for the dole should be in the form of in-house training. Such as a Government supported internship. Work providers are the life suckers of the community.

Firstly Martin, you have been out of work for six months, that tells us a great deal. IF you were really keen in getting a job, you would have looked into the Real Estate course months ago.

My friend I would be grateful for small mercies, we don't have work for unemployment here. You get cut off after six months.

Why don t you retrain? Just have a look at TAFE courses available in your area and get a qualification that will allow you to find a good job. Some TAFEs actually have Real Estate Property Management courses, but anything in the area of business administration will help you. It s all up to you, whinging won t get you anywhere so try doing something positive.
