Yellow spots on nails?

Hi I ve recently noticed that on only my left hand I have very small faint yellow "spots" on my nails. The nails are very brittle. They appeared after I took nail polish off so I assumed it was from that but now it s been about a week and the nails are still dry and have a little yellow on them l. I read that if it was from nail polish the yellow would come off with scrubbing with nail polish remover but that hasn t been working. Could it be something else then?

idk, what I know is that if you keep fake nails on for too long the sun can't get to your nails so they will yellow.  If you do use fake nails then the dots maybe where you put the glue to attach the nails.  Nails can be brittle because of poor nourishment and "maybe" not enough water.  Try a daily vitamin with minerals.  Some people are on medication so their teeth turn yellow, so if you're on medication maybe that's why your nails are turning yellow.  I'd say stop using nail polish.  You really don't need that.    By the way, nail polish remover can make your nails brittle.  There is an oily nail polish remover that may be better for your nails, but doing without and then using maybe Vasaline intensive care on them might bring them back to being more pliable.
