Are there any websites which give quality reviews on anime shows/movies?
Every time I see an anime I am thinking of watching on Netflix, it's impossible to get a good read because most reviews are 5 star rantings by 12 year olds using all caps gushing about how great it is without even saying much about the show. It's bothersome to me, so I was hoping for a reliable source which tells it like it is; a source I can trust to give me the basic info I need to decide if I want to watch a show or not.

myanimelist is pretty good, like Abdu said, and you can always ask here and get a review.
The problem is (when they're not done by 12 year olds in caps) the reviews are often pretty biased...
I don't use reviews much, I prefer to look at the summary and then the OP or ED to see the animation. After that, if it seems interesting, I watch the first episode and decide if I'm going to watch :)

Anime News Network does proper reviews on new anime series.
Typically I give a show a couple episodes to decide if I want to keep watching it, personally.
