Do Americans know compassion?

Oh please don;t know what country your from or even if you not an American but I will match what Americans have done for other against any other country you can name

Just as I thought nothing but talk from a nothing person trying to use American compassion against us I foresee a time we just back hand you fools to the ground

85,000 refugees are coming to America this financial year. It's a pity the 10,000 of them who are Syrian have been demonized by some dishonest presidential hopefuls who falsely claim they are military age men and potential terrorists, even rapists. Most people would feel more compassion for them if they knew they are typically families with a parent who has been tortured or sexually abused by Syrian government forces and who have had a long spell living in a tent in a refugee camp. That they have been extensively assessed by officials of government departments in the Middle East before being flown in.

You are getting a very distorted view by reading yahoo and other mass media.

Americans accept more legal aliens than any other country in the world. A huge number of legal residents came from war torn area. We give away more aid than any other nation too. (look it up). Plus we protect many nations with our military. We are more compassionate than most but also get criticized the most because people are jealous.

Each country has a right to protect its borders and kick out those who cross them illegally. Mexico and Canada have more strict rules on this than we have.

You should look up statistics on the huge numbers we accept each year legally. You would be shocked.

The average person in this country struggles to survive and hopes to pay bills and maybe have something leftover. It is common to have homeless in the streets and chronically poor who go years without work. Criminals are cited and released. So it surprises me that anyone still thinks we are our gnp and that we can all just continue have immigration. We already have enough poverty and crime. Immigration increases both. People who want to display their superior charitable natures by insisting we accept millions of poor strangers never have to subject the women in their families to the immigrants' backward attitudes towards women. They don't have to compete with them for jobs or defend against them for their safety. They don't get stuck living next door to them in poverty in their own country while they watch their culture and people destroyed. Where's the compassion for us? Living it is different than reading. You go ahead and show compassion and see where it leads you.

You are grossly uninformed. The US allows in more immigrants per year than all other nations combined. Americans are more generous than people in any other country when it comes to charity.

And what country are you in that has all the answers to the worlds problems?
