    I thought he was funny. He left the show because he wanted Trapper John to be more independent from Hawkeye, and not Hawkeye's sidekick anymore. The network said no. Then the network wanted him to play Trapper John on the spinoff of MASH, and he said no.

    I know. He was a great talent, and what many people don't know was what a great investor in the market he was. He also invested in land and other properties. He had many friends in both, the acting community, and investing arena. He will be missed by both. Thanks for bringing that up.
