Can Somebody Explain How YouTube Top Comments Are Chosen?
I've been submitting comments to YouTube for about 4 years now. I'm wondering why more than 99 percent of the comments I write end up as the top comment. I can't believe it's because my comments are always the best comment. I'll see somebody with a comment that has 458 thumbs up. My comment will have 1 thumb up and yet I always see it on my computer as the top comment. It seems not to really matter what I write. I can write a stupid joke not even related to the video and I'll go back to that page a year later and my comment is the top comment. Is it because I write so many comments? I keep thinking it's some kind of glitch in the system.. Any information about this would be greatly appreciated.

Please reduce your head size. Your comments are most probably just the most recent ones. Some videos don't have comments for years so this may be why a year later you still see your comment on top
