"What Sarah Said" by Death Cab for Cutie- this song was written about two lovers who take for granted the time they have together. The meaning behind "what sarah said" is the fact that one of Ben Gibbards (song writers) friend (Sarah) burst down into tears one day as she told her lover that, "love is like watching someone die". In essence what she means is most likely one lover will die before the other, and the one watching the other die shows true love. The song ends with the lines repeating "so who s going to watch me die".
