If life is nothing but an illusion?

I don't view life as an illusion just because physical reality is not so. An illusion implies falsehood. What we see and experience has import for us. When you watch a video about safe driving, they show mock accidents which are an illusion, but to just ignore the video or assume the issues it brings up are not relevant is exactly why I call Buddha a used car salesman. He denudes the moral importance of anything except survival.

You are right. The concept of death is nothing but an illusion.

There is no death. Death is a 3rd dimensional concept. A concept that cannot be understood in other reality dimensions.

Because in this reality we live in (3D), things are limited. Things have an end or a limit. Things are finite. There is time and space and things are physical in nature. But this reality we live in is just an illusion.

The truth is eternity. There is no time. The truth is infinity.

Yes, that is true. In addition, given that "life is an illusion" you no longer need to eat, worry about the environment, worry about getting a job, worry about getting a terrible illness, worry about a slow internet, worry about who might slime you on facebook or twitter or any number of other myriad concerns. It would truly be an illusional paradise, wouldn't it?

Of course the whole notion is utter nonsense, bantered about mostly by academics who, themselves, KNOW it is nonsense - but it sure impresses young students.

To be fair, I think there is a tiny portion of our population for whom reality may just as well be an illusion and that is those that go through life "stoned" on pot or other drugs.

So you start with one nonsense notion and from that postulate an unrelated nonsense notion as well. If you think life and death are an illusion why not just top yourself seeing as none of it matters, it's all just a dream. The answer of course is because you find life very real, and you're scared of it being over when you die.

I don't personally believe life is an illusion... I believe Life is what we call God or the Gods. I believe the world/existence we live IN is the illusion.

In one sense, yes. Because after death, we don't exists anymore, according to atheists. Therefore is just illusion. They say is real but their conclusion that nothing will exist after death is contradictory. If we didn't exist before, how we became into existence? Is not a miracle? They say by chance, but saying by chance is saying "we don't know."

For theist is also illusion, because real life is with God in the spiritual world, after death.
