Some Airports have an adjoining hotel with day rates. You would only be in the room about 6-7 hours. Only you know if it is worth the extra cost.

it's a scheduled layover so no. The airline is not obligated nor would they put you up. The only time is when there is a flight cancelation that is the airlines fault such as the plane broke down and even then, you'll be lucky if they offer. You usually have to demand a room. Layovers and weather are not eligible.

No. If you want to get a hotel for the duration of your layover, you need to pay for it. You are expected to take care of yourself during that time - you can stay in the airport, you could go to a very nearby airport hotel for a few hours, you could do some quick sightseeing depending on which airport you are at, etc. If you do leave - to go to a hotel or to sightsee - keep in mind that you have to go back through security when you return, which means you need to be back at the airport about 2 hours before departure.

Aircraft don't have layovers, only crew does. You can find a flight that connects to your destination in way under ten hours.
