What is your opinion about quick choreography with slow songs?
When it comes to watching So You Think You Can Dance, I don't care about the backstories of the dancers, I fast forward to the dances or check them out online. In the past there have been some really good dances and some not so good dances. This year I have found myself questioning the choreographers choices more than in the past and the dances just don't hold my attention like they used to. So these are the two dances that I saw and went--what did I just watch?

I think the dances were well executed, but I don't think the songs and choreography went together at all...what do you think about these dances, am I off the mark, did you like them or not and why?

Although I personally wasn't crazy about the dance style or choreography in both examples they absolutely went with the music. Chorographers don't have to just move to the melody of a song but to the rthytms as well. The second song was Ragee and while the melody was slow the constant Ragee beat is what the dancers danced to most of the time once the dance got going. After what you described I was expecting to see something quite different. I have seen things that were slow rthymically as well as melodically that were danced to at a quick pace in concert contemporary dance. These were not like that at all. They went perfectly fine with the music.
