Divorce: Higher education fund for children to reduce payment to wife?

I am living in separation and seeking a divorce. We have two adult children in higher education.

To avoid paying my wife for keeping my business, I would like to offset the value of the business against the money I pay for the upkeep of our adult children.

I am proposing setting about £50,000 from my stake in the family home aside, to secure each of our two adult children a monthly grant while they are at university. Would such arrangement be acceptable to the courts?

    If your children are over 18 there is no obligation for you to pay maintenance.
