My window Air Condioner unit is not draining out the water. It's just sitting at the bottom of the unit. What can I do to correct this?

Clean the drain tube first and then install some shims on the front bottom to tilt the unit slightly towards the drain tube.

First of all ..is it leaking water inside ? If so ..tilt the a/c backwards slightly so water runs downhill to the outside. If water is not draining out the backside (check drain holes stopped up)of the a/c unit...and just sitting there inside ...then the blower fan probably has a "slinger blade" ..blowing air and also picking up the water, as it rotates,-- and "slinging" it into the(hot) condenser coil to help cool the system. ..sometimes when the slinger blade tosses water up into the coil...you can hear little pinging sounds as it hits. This is normal for an a/c~~ with a slinger ring blade.

Usually there is a plug in the drain when you buy it that must be removed its a good idea to use it durring winter maybe if you check the underside there is youe problem, or something is blocking that hole. if you have an older AC then you might need to drill a drain hole

OF COURSE IS YOU HAVE NOT GOT IT ANGLED CORRECTLY IT WILL NOT DRAIN AT ALL

Where it drains outside use a shop vac to suck the obstruction out of the line.

Drill a hole in the frame. Don't hit anything important. Unplug first

If there is any way to tilt the unit back a little bit, that should help.
