Under the Dome?
Quite good as a Stephen King product but some laughable "dramatic" moments - the young girl panicking when shes going to fall - her feet were about 4 feet off the floor. Leaping across a dangerous chasm - must have been 2 feet wide to start with - Barbie gets bruises in every episode more or less - come on Mr Spielberg or has the effects budget run out.

For someone that suggests getting and education vs buying a gun, you need to turn off the TV and get one yourself. UTD on TV is hideously terrible. Try reading the book, instead.

read the book if you want to lose some brain cells. i haven't seen the show but it sounds like it's doing the book justice.

So when you go to work or school put the phone away and get a life.

See I think the opposite is the problem, too much money causes producers to get ridiculous, especially Mr Spielberg tends to have that problem(it's why Extant also crosses into the 'cheese' every now, and then, but has spectacular CGI).
It's why the Stephen King-inspired HAVEN is much more true to the Stephen King vibe, they have much less budget, but because of that have starker, more implied effects.
I think with less money Under The Dome would be a lot more serious, because they can't make everything sparkle, and shiny, and animated, they need to imply the danger, making it more physical, more real.
