What song is this?

Question

The song is sung by a girl, it goes something like, "Echo, echo. E-E-CHO. I'm gonna swallow my pride (echo)" and then at some point she says something like "And I will wait for you". It picks up during the "echo" part which I'm guessing is the chorus and the rest is a little more mellowed. So, if you know the song, please tell me because it is stuck in my head and it's bothering me. Thank you.

hi there don't know what you mean by "echo", but it could be a version o Aretha Franklin's "Until you come back to me"
