Is Hillary better equipped than Bill?

This is an interesting question, and it's too bad people are treating it facetiously. On the one hand, she has MUCH more national and foreign experience than he had- he had only been governor of a very small (population-wise) state. On the other hand, he was extraordinarily charismatic and able to work with Congress. Joe Klein wrote an essay for Time about how Bill Clinton enjoyed the rough and tumble of politics, while Obama really doesn't. Hillary was able to work with colleagues when she was a senator, but the Senate was different then- Republicans were less obstructive and nasty. Still, I remember reading an interview with a White House staffer who said they'd die for her, but were luke warm about him. She is certainly well-respected around the world- leaders know her where they had no idea who he was at first.

I think she is not so much better as differently equipped. She actually has much more varied political experience than Bill ever had when he ran. She also has the advantage of knowing the ropes before she ever sits in the Oval Office, not much of a learning curve for her to deal with. That fact allows her to make plans or form ideas she knows are viable before she ever gets there.

No, but she doesn't need to be.
