Are the questions and answers really checked for inappropriate language and insulting questions and answers ?

Unless the language is part of the site filter (swear words), things are only reviewed if reported by enough users. Currently, that system is down.

If you mean are the questions reviewed by Yahoo staff before being posted on YA, the answer is NO, they are NOT reviewed before being posted. EVERY question and answer goes through a series of computer filters, including language filters, which will asterisk out certain words that are in digital dictionary that is in part of Yahoo's digital databases, but there are no Yahoo employees reviewing YA questions, answers and comments before they are posted on YA. YA is run by computer programs. yahoo staff usually does not interfere, although they may answer a few questions in certain sub-categories sporadically from time to time.
EVERY question and answer on YA becomes Yahoo prperty and goes into Yahoo's digital databases. Just because A question or answered is reported enough times by enough YA community members that it triggers a bunch of computer programs that remove the reported question o, answer or comment from the YA DISPLAY DOES NOT mean it has been deleted from the Yahoo digital databases. it also does not mean it is removed from the digital databases of any business that caches YA questions, answers and comments in THEIR digital databases. What you post online STAYS online and can be accessible online FOR YEARS. EVERYTHING can be traced straight back to the device you were using, and the email account you were logged into over a certain period of time. YA is moderated by the users of YA, NOT Yahoo employees. NONE of u, or maybe that should be MOST of us, are paid money to moderate YA. That is WHY you can appeal. The possibility that Yahoo's competitors may be paying or compensating YA community members in some way when they throw digital monkey wrenches into Yahoo computer network is highly probable. it's called industrial sabotage or espionage.
