Official letter to the council?

Hello everybody

I was asked by the council to provide an OFFICIAL LETTER form the university confirming that I'm a student so that I get tax exemption . Can I send it by email or do I have to go there?

    What do the council ask for, eg the original, a photocopy or an email from a scanned document

    You are not exempt from tax, as everyone pays tax if they earn over the tax threshold

    Maybe you mean council tax?

    It must be the original - no photoshop, no copy and paste, no dummied up photocopy it must be the original.
