Missouri Laws for Dairy Cows?

I'm thinking about getting a dairy cow to supply me and my family with milk (not selling to anyone). I'm confused on the laws because everywhere I read has a different answer.

What are the tests that cows have to have, who tests them, and do they have to be tested every year? Or since I'm not selling the milk, does it matter?

    I think you should consult the Missouri Dept. of Agriculture on this subject. Search on their website or call a local office in your region of the state.

    first and foremost ask city hall about this... what are the city's ordinances.
