It's not the value of the gift, but the thought, and one can clearly see absolutely no thought went into that one!

It was almost a disrespectful gesture. An awesome wife Christmas card with even a $25 gift card to Macy's or wherever, would have had more sentimental value!

Little Debbie nutty bars? Really?!!? You are talking about Christmas right? I don't like those type of sweets, so the biggest offense for me would be that he forgot I didn't like them.

I'd be upset for a couple of hours then I'd get over it. I'll just straight up give him ideas of what to get me when next year rolls around.

Do you mean for Christmas? I wouldn't be upset. I mean, I'm not married yet but I am in a serious relationship with my boyfriend and we just get each other simple gifts too. It's not about what we get for Christmas, it's the spirit and spending time with family. I got a phone charger (because I needed one), a planner for 2015 and a foot support thing to wear at work. All simple things that he knows I needed and wanted.
