How are the number of questions answered a day counted? At level 7 it says 160 a day. I've never answered that many in a day.?

At midnight Pacific time (where Yahoo headquarters is located) it starts at zero, and adds one every time you answer a question. When that count reaches 160 for you and you try to answer, you get the error page that you have reached your daily limit. You quit answering until after midnight pacific time when it resets.

Because of a glitch you will sometimes see that error when you are no where near your limit, just refresh when you see those.

They are counted from the start of the Yahoo day, which should be midnight Pacific time. Except that it may now be midnight Greenwich Mean time. They don't tell us, actually; they simply reset our limits and for a while it was one, then the other - and sometimes even both. It is mostly lower level users who are impacted, because most people at higher levels just don't answer to the point of hitting that limit. For a while, the limit was 80 for Level 4 and up, but some users were hitting that limit and complaining. So it was raised.

Yahoo's software counts them automatically, the same way it does the points and other functions on here. I've never used my allotment of questions or answers in a day either, but at least YA is generous in this area.

When you finish posting 160, you will not be able to post the 161st answer. That's how you know that it's done

Those who are point gamers who give unhelpful one word answers, could do more the 160, easily.
