What on Earth is this freaky bug?!?
It looks like it creeps in a warm climate, but I have insufficient Googling skills to find out anything about this particular... thing.
I don't even know if it's an insect or an arachnid or what. All I know is I need to know what and where to make sure I never, ever have to see it in reality.

That makes me feel better about life. I now have something to search for, and it's not even going to gross me out when I actually see what it is...

It's a species of moth that has just emerged from its cocoon. Those are the wings on the back and they aren't pumped up yet.
