Does this mean he still thinks about me a lot?

I was about to start dating this guy, but I decided that It just wasn't going to work out because it was kind of long distance and a couple other things. We ended it on good terms saying that wed hold off on a relationship and maybe start something when summer comes and were in the same area. When we thought we were going to date wed text constantly. When I ended things we didnt really talk or see eachother for about a month, except twitter really. I saw him today and after I left about an hour later he texted me telling me how nice it was to see me and that he misses me and wishes he could see me more often. I know he really liked me a lot before I kind of broke things off. I had to do it through text because we don't see eachother often but he said that he cried. So do why do you think hes texting me now
