Does anyone with an IQ larger than their shoe size believe that the current "unemployment rate" is good?

Which unemployment rate are you talking about...you do know there are 6 different unemployment rates, do you not? In any event, the question is one that economists have been arguing - where is the full employment rate - is it the classical 4% or with additional mobility and labor force participation, should the concept of full employment be adjusted to 5% or some other number? If we set full employment at 5%, we are not far off the mark and continued job growth in the 220,000 range monthly will soon have us at full employment and more than likely begin to encourage "discouraged" workers to re-enter the work force.

Like many (most?) conservatives, you have a poor understanding of business....if the unemployment rate falls much further, that will be DISASTROUS because it will cause wage inflation, which will cause price inflation...
The current rate is just about perfect for a recovery cycle....ask a hundred economists...

1) When it was BELOW 5% and FALLING, Girl Rising said it was "depression-like."
2) The UNemployment rate automatically eliminates all long-term unemployed persons. A better number is the EMPLOYMENT rate - presently 6.5% LOWER than the GOP left it for Democrats/Obama.

The current unemployment rate is good, but could be better. I have an IQ of 140.

The unemployment rate only tracks those looking for work.
Tens of millions have given up looking for work because there is no work to be found.
Those with both high and low IQs should be able to figure out that 5.8%, or where ever the rate stands, is not good given those facts.
Everyone but partisan hacks and fierce demogogues, that is.
