Do you actually believe your elected state officials will vote according to the will of the majority who voted for them?

Politicians generally try to keep their campaign promises and satisfy those who actively make requests (e.g. by calling or writing). The latter group tends to win out over campaign promises, because after all, what may have seemed like a good idea when you promised it may not seem best for the country today.

The "silent majority" who turn out to vote but do not participate in politics do not affect the actions of elected officials too much, because how could they? If they do not make themselves heard, they surely won't be.

    Of course not.

That's why we vote for the lesser of two evils, knowing that it's still evil that we're voting for.

Yeah, especially according to the will of the sons of glitches who bought and paid for them?

One thing's for sure: they will get their opportunity to right the wrongs of the riff raff they replaced. And if they don't, they'll get kicked to the curb too.

DATA shows a small minority of Republicans vote against the expressed will of the INFORMED electorate and that almost all Democrats almost always do.
