If individual property rights are necessary for economic success, how might the firm allow property rights?

i don't understand your question. yes, i agree that property rights are/were a precursor to economic success and a principle cause of the difference between first world economies and second or third world economies.

that said, a business of any form is owned by a group of individuals with some form of sharing amongst them in the results of the business. imho, those individuals have a property right in their portion of that profit and the underlying net assets of the firm.

what i don't see is you comment about the firm 'allowing' property rights. What rights? while a firm may have title to property of various sorts, in the end it all belongs to the firm's owners. businesses are conduits ... not entities in themselves
