We aren't dating yet but we were texting the night before and he fell asleep talking to me. The next morning I woke up and there was a message from him saying "good morning beautiful" and that he was sorry for falling asleep and that he hopes I have a wonderful day.

It could mean he thinks you're beautiful. You said you're not dating YET, so is that what could happen in the future? I know my crush has already broken up with his girlfriend twice, and he posted her with a friend on Instagram for Woman Crush Wednesday. He tagged it saying "you're beautiful". But they're not dating. Although I have heard rumours that they clearly still like each other, but I asked her if she had a crush and she said no, and they've already broke up twice, so I don't see why they would still like each other. If you get what I'm saying... Maybe he's just trying to be polite

It means that he's interested in you. He has a crush on you, and probably wouldn't mind dating you. If you like him, you should accept his compliments and compliment him back.
