What is it with Premier League players all wearing either yellow or bright pink Nike Mercurial boots this season?

No doubt some are simply lucrative sponsorship deals, but from the technical point of view:

brightly coloured boots moving rapidly while dribbling the ball, will tend to draw the attention of an opposition defender,

..... so that his eyes instinctively follow the feet rather than the ball:

causing a distraction that potentially gives the dribbling attacker a slight edge.

Apparently they believe young people are into buying florescent colors that are different but these teams tend to fail to win any titles wearing these colors just look at the horrible colors Barcelona had a couple of years ago as they lost to Celtic.

Look how Real Madrid is struggling wearing pink.

Nike pays them to wear them, simple as that.. If Nike made plastic buckets, the players would be paid to put them on their heads.

I imagine their is some lucrative sponsorship with the premiership...
