What Hamas has won, when, according to Fatah leader Abbas they accepted the very same ceasefire conditions already offered weeks before?

The cease-fire agreement that was signed this week between Hamas and Israel is not different from the original proposal made by Egypt at the beginning of the war, Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas said on Thursday.

In an interview with Palestine TV, Abbas said he saw no difference between the original Egyptian-mediated initiative, which was rejected by Hamas, and the one reached this week

Abbas added that there was no difference "other than the losses and suffering we went through."

The Palestinian leader's words were seen as being directed against Hamas, whose leaders claim that the long-term cease-fire they accepted this week was different than the original one proposed to them by Egypt.

Abbas confirmed that Hamas had placed Fatah members under house arrest during the war. He also condemned Hamas' public executions of suspected "collaborators" as a criminal act. If there are "spies," he said, "they should be executed within the frame of the law and not in the streets."

Nothing. Hamas has lost most of their tunnels, rockets, buildings, bomb factories and 1000+ terrorist fighters.

Hamas were cornered into accepting a ceasefire which they at first strongly rejected. Many deluded terrorist sympathizers will try to tell you that Hamas are getting the good side of the deal, but actually the ceasefire will end unless Hamas agrees to make Gaza Strip a demilitarized zone.

We all saw what happened when Hamas provoked Israel too much... the Israel Defense Forces entered Gaza Strip and kicked their butts. It's hysterical that deluded terrorist supporters claim victory over Israel yet they simultaneously complain about how crushed Gaza is and how brutal Israel has been. Contradiction alert.

Operation Protective Edge is being hilariously claimed as a victory by the Hamas terrorists, in the same way that Hezbollah terrorists claimed victory after their butts were kicked in the 2006 Lebanon War...

So, Abbas is trying to discredit Hamas achievements. Who didn't see that coming after his failure in achieving anything with peaceful negotiations? He is obviously losing public support to Hamas which made him spew that nonsense.

One of the reasons why Hamas rejected the first ceasefire was because it was not included in the talks. But most importantly it was the wording like the opening of crossings "once the security situation becomes stable on the ground" whereas the agreed ceasefire stated IMMEDIATE opening of crossings. As far as I can remember there was nothing about fishing in the first proposal.

As for PA forces taking bigger role in Gaza, that was actually a plan even before the war. Hamas agreed to a shared government with PA in April mainly because they were bankrupt and unable to pay their civil employees and because they were aiming to end the internal split which damaged the Palestinian cause more than ever.

Hamas were demolshed losing hundreds of their killers and commanders. They only agreed this ceasefire as they were running out of killers. Interestingly Hamas went against what they originally demaned for any ceasefire-release of prisoners, opening blockade etc. Hamas are a joke. Even Abbas is now agaibst then a huge loss.

" What Hamas has won ? " , They won many things :

    1. expanding the fishing area to 6 miles .

    2. Hamas become more love in Palestine and in all the world .

    3. Israel opened it's passing gates with Gaza which means there is no more Blockade on Gaza .

    4. Peace loving countries knew the true face of Israel and knew that Israel is a wolf in sheep clothes .

    5. Many people worldwide supported Hamas while Israel became hated more and more .

    6. Israel failed in achieving any stuff like stopping rockets or destroying Hamas and tunnels .

    7. Palestine going to judge Israel in the international courts .

    8. Netnyaho lost many of his supporters in Israel .

There are more but i have no time to Complete , LOL :p .

Hamas declared victory but only to win back some of their support, I think, or to make it seem like the loses weren't so great as they actually were. I think that's the only thing they've honestly won, since on all fronts they haven't reached any monumental point worth celebrating.

do you mean israel has won ......lol......no israeli can claim this.......then it is Hamas that has won......

israel insisted on dismantling Hamas weapon in the first talk weeks ago.....in the bsecond there is no mention of this ......

israel has accepted Hamas conditions for a one month cease fire.....the sea port will be a fact in one month time........

The reason for israel accepting the cease fire is that the israeli settlements around Gaza were at the point of collapsing......The Majority of israeli settlers around Gaza have left their homes ....
