Would a guy talk like this if he didnt actually like the girl?
People tell me that he always talks about how "perfect I am " and how he thinks I'm "so pretty". Also I guess the other day when I wasn't there he was joking around and said referring to me "do you think if I wrote my number on the back of this paper she would see it and text me?". So do you think he would joke like that if he wasnt really interested?

No. I think he's hoping that his friends will tell you and you'll approach him, sparing him from making the first move. That he can find out if he has a shot without having to put himself out there. Although I wouldn't ask him out (seriously, he needs to man up and do that himself) there is nothing wrong with encouraging him. Ask him how his weekend was, start a conversation...break the ice.

I think he is interested in you for sure. But, to know for sure, just ask him. BUT< kinda hint that you might be into him, so he doesn't feel awkward.
