Advice on my haircut?

okay, so I'm finally deciding to do something different and get my hair cut differently than my usual which is long layered, around mid back and let it grow till my lower back then cut it again. I was thinking of around either shoulder length or a couple of inches below the shoulder (so in line with my chest or just above it), and I have a couple of questions for people who know something about hairstyles:

1. Is this haircut something which would only suit a particular face shape? (e.g. oval rectangle, round, heart shape) - I think I'm oval if that helps

2. I don't like short layers, so is it okay to get this cut in long layers or just no layers at all?

3. I'm a short woman, so will this hairstyle highlight my height in a good or bad way? Or in any way at all?

4. Lastly, my hair is thick! And so when I wash it, it honestly looks like a lion's mane, and it's quite wavy (not like beach waves hair, more like a kind of messy casual waves), so would the texture prevent the hair from looking good as a style?

Sorry, so many questions! I know if it looks bad, it'll grow out anyway, I just want to make sure I fully know what I'm going for before I do it!
