We do eat bugs, but it hasn't become a popular thing yet. It's becoming more popular, but not yet.
And what Moopsta said, even though that's a bit harsh, it's somewhat true. We haven't evolved the taste buds to really tell the difference between bugs all that much. Many of them pretty much taste the same way, just different texture. They even have your own bug farming tools for people interested.

Many people around the world eat bugs. They're a good source of protein and easily obtainable.
Western societies are not too hot about eating insects, and this is likely due to cultural reasons.

There was a pet store in my town that sold crickets encased in a chocolate bar. If you bought one you were given a pin that read I Ate a Bug Club. I tried it and it tasted just like an extra crispy rice chocolate bar. It wasn't gross. I figured that the chocolate would mask the taste and it did. I read somewhere that in some areas of Africa, cooked crickets are a delicacy.
