does he like me?

i like this guy and we knew each other not so long ago. he's my classmate in some subjects. he's approachable and friendly but i think when he's with me, he's a little more comfortable than with others. he always say that he's going home even if i don't ask. i caught him looking at me many times. i asked him if he has a gf but he said none. i want to be closer to him as friends but my friends said that they think he likes me. i'm confused because he always accompany me wherever i go.
