Will my parents find out if I'm pregnant by mail?
Okay so I live with my dad and he has me covered for insurance. I'm pregnant, but he doesn't know. My mom knows and she just took me to the doctors while we used the insurance my dad has for me, but will any mail be sent for him to find out? Like when the insurance statement comes through, will it say I came in because I'm pregnant or just for an examination? I'm not ready to tell him yet, I'm just waiting for the right time.

Oh yes, he will find out. It's only fair anyways, after all he's paying for all YOUR medical bills. Expensive ones at that. The statements show details of the appointment.

Wait, so you're happy to just mooch off his medical insurance for something as expensive as prenatal care but you plan not to tell him?
I suppose you plan on getting him to pay for everything the baby needs too!
Irresponsible little brat. You are not mature enough to be having a baby.

Yes, the Explanation of Benefits will explain what the charges are -- as he's the primary policyholder, he gets to know.

Dad will want to KNOW what the doc visit was for and outcome (you are still his daughter). If you don't tell him, the doc CAN DO SO, since his insurance is paying for it. Better YOU should tell him.

To be honest you should tell him as soon as possible, because he will find out, things like this have a way of coming to the surface, and you cannot hide it forever, you are deceiving him and that is not nice, just think about that....

he may get an EOB from his insurance company. if so, it also may detail what you were seen for. not knowing what your insurance is makes it difficult to give you a concrete answer.
