Bleaching my hair!?
Okay, I am aware that bleaching is bad for your hair, especially if you do it often so no need to warn me about any of that.
I have bleached my hair before however my hair is naturally a very dark, almost black, brown so it didn't come out as light as I hoped. The first time, I got it done at the hairdresser and then decided to do it myself. I used a bleaching kit from crazycolour.co.uk. Is there a way I can make it lighter? Shall I just bleach over with the same kit or is there anything stronger that I can use? I want to dye it, a very bright red so if you know what's best for that, that will be helpful.

I'm assuming your hair is a bit of a brassy color, towards the orange side right now?? if this is the case you can do a strand test to see if the red dye will take and be as vibrant as you're hoping it will, because brassy tones are still warm tones like red, you may be surprised that your hair is actually light enough to take the dye. If it is not, something you can do to lighten your hair further, while minimizing the damage is applying a bleach bath to your hair. Mix up some bleach powder and peroxide as you would normally, add some shampoo (clarifying uncolored shampoo is best), and you can even add a bit of conditioner to this mixture. apply like you would shampoo lathering up your hair real nice, and check your hair every 5 minutes, i wouldn't advise leaving it on longer than 20 mins. For future reference bleach kits are horrible, its always better to just buy a tub or packets of bleach and salon grade developer. && deep condition the **** out of your hair when you wash the bleach out. hope this helps.

you should not bleach you hair twice in a short tie period like maybe wait a week or two before you bleach it again I bleach my hair in sections to get highlights and it was not as light I would of liked it so I waited a week before doing it again because my sister bleached her hair twice in the same time period and it fell out so I hoped this helped.
