Laptop screen not displaying?
I got this HP laptop
The screen appears to light up but no display is shown. Like a black lit screen
I hooked up the laptop to my TV set via HDMI pot on my laptop and it is displaying there
Reinstalled the display driver and rolled back via system restore but still not displaying
Tried clearing flea power but only once but not solved
Any suggestions on what's going on. I ruled out software so it appears to be a hardware issue. But I'm not good at hardware

Sounds like the CCFL 'backlight' that lights the screen or the inverter went out. It is no easy task to replace the CCFL, but the inverter is usually easy. Usually the backlight goes out.
