I know there is not a equivalent for 就 in English, and this character is among the most used characters while it is also one of the most confused ones.

So What does 就 exactly mean in Chinese? Thanks!

1. 'just':
    服务员：你要点什么？
    Waiter: What do you want? 
    客人：就一杯茶吧。
    Customer: Just a cup of tea. 
    服务员：你要加多少糖？
    Waiter: How much sugur do you want to add?
    客人：一点点就好。
    Customer: A little bit just be fine.

    今天，我们就团队合作进行了讨论。

    就位: be ready, be in position. (位: position)

    就寝: start sleeping
    就餐: start eating

4. 'according to'
    就味道而言。(就味道来讲)

5. 'only'

6. 'right away; something will happen soon'
